Beginning in February, I will be teaching 3rd and 4th grade at a Honduran charity school for children who have been affected by HIV/AIDS. Some of the children are HIV positive, and others live with family members who are HIV positive.

Due to the stigma against HIV/AIDS here in Honduras, many of these students cannot attend public school because they will be bullied and mistreated.

The school is also open to other children who want an alternative to public school, but whose families are unable to afford private school tuition.

I am trying to raise money to buy school supplies and PE equipment for these students. As a charity school, all books, supplies, and funding comes from donations and grants from the USA and Canada. Teachers do not receive any funds to buy the supplies we need, and have to work with whatever supplies get donated to us.

Any donation will help immensely, and will be used to purchase PE equipment, art supplies, books, and standard school supplies like calculators, notebooks, and pens.

If you are unable to make a donation, please consider sharing this page with friends, family members, followers, imaginary friends, and other charitible organizations that may be able to contribute.

Thank you for looking at this page. Hope you have a fantastic 2014!
