Lost and Found Pets of the MidSouth has helped reunite and find homes for over 4000 animals to date. While that number is unbelievable what is even more amazing is that it's a one woman show! The plight of the dogs in this area is dire. People easily dump their pets on the side of the road, at abandoned homes or in the woods when they no longer want them. These animals are often shot, starved and attacked. Teresa traps these dogs, vets them and finds them homes. What she really needs is a large dog trap and a Tagg GPS collar. The collar will allow her to trap a mom dog, Tagg her and let her loose again to go back to the pups. Through GPS she will be able to locate the puppies and get the mom and pups to safety. Many of these unwanted dogs travel to rescues across the nation. Teresa also gets regular visits from her animal control officer and his "euthanasia" truck. Teresa takes the animals off of the truck and finds homes for them. She is not a rescue, she is not an organization, she is one person who is making a large difference locally, regionally and nationally. Please consider donating and sharing this page. 1.00 will help. The trap is around 250.00, The collar is 100.00 and anything leftover will go towards the monthly service fee of the collar. If you've ever wanted to make a difference but felt that you couldn't then here's a way to do it.
