I have to start a fundraiser for Lucas. The surgery is 10 days away and things need to happen. I think (unless a rescue calls back with different responses than in last few weeks) this will be the plan. We can have him at our vet for 3 days (they do boarding) (day b4 of and after surgery) my husband will take 5 days off to be w/ me then my sister will travel up for 2 days then an amazing local girl will be coming Mon-Fri 2 hrs a day and that will be 50.00 a week to let him out and play with him, and I have a friend can come a few days a week in afternoon. However, he will still have to be in the kennel all day and if he has to go out then Im screwed and also I cannot work w/ him myself for 6-8 I am unsure what the best solution is here.. The trainer could still come once a week but it would be more only working w. my hubby. Last week it was 75 for training and the cost from here out is 590.00 for 6 weeks. The boarding cost is 28.00 a day. We have already spent hundreds since we rescued him, and my husband will be taking an unpaid leave to help me, so this will be quite a struggle. So lets see, 6 weeks of training 590, 6 weeks of having someone come over each morning to let him out and play with him, 300 and 3 nights in boarding 75 making that 965.00 and w/ my hubby having to take time off Im freaking out. Many have suggested a fundpage and Ill also sell some of my items, make some jewelry and also have a big yard sale(if I can pull that off in time) I was trying to find a foster, but that has proven to have failed.
