Quenten was diagnosed with Leukemia in February 2010 at the age of 23. From the very beginning, Quenten made up his mind to be a fighter. Even though the odds were stacked against him, He rallied & fought. Quenten found himself unable to work. After being forced to leave his job, he relied on the love of his family & his wife to sustain him. For 9 months, he did an intense Chemo program. Later that same year, He went into remission. Even though the doctors had cleared him, he continued a preventative chemo until April of 2012. It was then that they discovered that Quenten had relapsed. As with a lot of Cancer patients, Quenten had no insurance by this point. The doctors suggested he attend Emory for chemo trials to see what they could possibly do for him. Making every effort he & his wife could, Quenten continued to fight. He was known for his smile & his ability to make people laugh. He had such a beautiful spirit, his body never looked sick on the outside, but inside the battle raged. Quenten gave his life to Jesus in 2012 & made his mind up to serve all he could. He found himself praying for and encouraging other patients while in the hospital. He attended Fullturn Church as regularly as he could, even if it meant going not feeling well. While Quenten's relationship with God grew, so did his faith. He shared his story with anyone he could. He became an inspiration to many! Through headaches, severe pain in his legs that would leave him unable to walk, stomach issues & weakness, this sweet man continued to inspire the lives of others. His strength didn't seem to know any limits. In July of 2013, Quenten began to grow weak. The chemo was no longer effective & his body was weary. On July 22nd, the Lord called Quenten home to a fully healed body & the riches that awaited him. He's left behind a host of family & friends that will love & miss him beyond words. During planning his memorial, his wife & mother found out his insurance benefits had expired when he turned 24 and they weren't notified. Now, the family struggles to meet the financial burdens of providing funeral services for Quenten. This fund is set up for just that. If you would like to donate to help cover the costs of His funeral, you may do so here. No amount is too small! It's a wonderful way to honor the memory of a wonderful young man that left a beautiful mark on this world. The family appreciates the support! In such a difficult time, anything you can do will ease this family's worry over finances. May God bless you as you give!!
