WHERE i BECOME SMALLER

Children's Lantern had an awesome opportunity to meet a young couple living and ministering in Mexico. Joel is originally from the US, but has a heart for the people of Mexico. He and his wife (and toddler son) work with young people looking to be missionaries. Together, they run a missionary training school. Part of their work is this orange grove. It not only provides food, but it also provides income.

At this time, the oranges can not grow and there is no income due to these two things:

1. Lack of rain and irrigation. (There has been a severe drought in Mexico for 5 years!)

2. The need of a windmill. Unfortunately, for the last 2 or 3 years they haven’t picked anything off of those trees and in fact, the trees are dying from lack of water.

This is where you and I come in. A windmill would not only benefit the orange grove in providing a way to get water to the trees and oranges, but also the training center and church as, with a good, tall water tower, they could eliminate the need for an electric well pump (which has been stolen), lowering drastically their electric bill as well.
