Jenn's journey begins at YWAM Perth with training in mother child healthcare and midwifery. Then she'll travel into the developing world to practice midwifery and missions for another eight months. This journey is one that can only be made possible through community support. Through generous people like you!
800 women a day die from preventable causes due to pregnancy and childbirth. 99% of these deaths happen in the developing world.
I want to change that.
When women are educated and cared for, lives are saved and whole communities developed.
The Birth Attendant School is an intensive 11 month course that trains women in basic midwifery skills. Antenatal care, nutrition, newborn care, labour and delivery, postnatal care, teaching and training are just a few topics. After three months of midwifery training from a medical and biblical view point, eight months are spent in the developing world training, working with women and practicing midwifery.
Seeing women and children empowered, healthy and educated!
