As many of you may know, (uncle) Ally, his wife Debbie and step daughter Samantha have been living in Fort McMurray for quite a few years. A couple of years ago, Ally was diagnosed with a rare type of cancer that is formed from scar tissue which left the doctors baffled - a sample has been sent to the US for further analysis. He underwent surgery to remove the tumors and he was fortunate to be cancer free for a while. Ally has had his fair share of struggles since the day he was born in 1969. He was hospitalized for the first 2 years of his life, had double digit surgeries by the time he was 2, functioned with a ½ of kidney and was not expected to live a long life. He beat those odds and is now 43 years old.
This past spring, the cancer returned. Ally was sent to Edmonton to receive numerous rounds of chemotherapy before surgery could be an option due to the size and location of the tumor. In September, he underwent a very invasive surgery. With high hopes that the healing process would go smoothly, infections and pain sent him back and forth to the hospital in Fort McMurray and Edmonton. He recently received more news that the cancer has spread to his lungs and because of the cancers aggressiveness it has doubled in size since it was first found. This past week he was given a very sad prognosis – news that no one wants to hear.
I am asking you to find it in your hearts to donate any amount that can help this family at this time. The expenses for the family’s accommodation in Edmonton and the travelling back and forth have become very costly.
Ally has not been able to work for some time now so every dollar will count!

Thank you so much.
