Bike for Brain Care is a unique, month-long fundraiser in support of Brain Care Centre – a non-profit that helps Albertans who have suffered a traumatic brain injury to recover, defy limitations and thrive. Demand for our services is rapidly growing and wait times for Brain Care Centre’s occupational therapy and counseling programs are leaving many waiting for the support they need now.
The only event dedicated to supporting recovery.
By raising funds you help make sure those in need get the help they need and get back to life - sooner.
Putting the fun in fundraising.
Here's your chance to get out of the house and get your body moving for a great cause. Hop on your bike, walk, or roll with family - and have fun while raising funds.
How it Works.
There's only one main rule: If you register to Bike for Brain Care you promise to raise at least $100.
It's as easy as getting 10 friends to chip in 10 bucks each.
1) Register as an individual or as part of a team.
Then, set and share your goal for the month. Will you bike 100km, walk 10km, or run 50km... or more?
2) Raise awareness and raise funds.
Tell your friends, family, and colleagues what you're doing. We'll even supply some social media graphics you can use to help meet your fundraising goal and stay connected to other participants.
3) Get out there and start moving toward your goal!
Track your distance using an app like RunGo, post your progress using the hashtag #BikeForBrainCare2021 - and tag your friends to join in!
4) Enjoy the rewards of your achievements.
Brain Care Centre has partnered with numerous Edmonton businesses and establishments to provide over $1500 worth of prizes to top fundraisers! Participants who collect the most donations while pursuing their movement goals will have the chance to receive:
- A 20-person prime rib dinner from the Canadian Brewhouse at Jensen Lakes in St. Albert
- Cinema Six-Pack passes to the Metro Cinema at the Garneau Theatre

5) SAVE-THE-DATE! The Bike for Brain Care wrap-up event will be held at Original Joe's Terwillegar location on August 31st from 3:30 pm- 5:30 pm where we will be live-streaming the prize give-aways to our top fundraisers!
