Navigate Recovery has been supporting people in their recovery since 2014.
We have been blessed and have served 1000's of people and family members impacted by addiction and NOW God is opening another door!
We have been serving in Emergency Departments, at Safe Harbor, our Addiction Recovery Support Center, and through our Remote Recovery Support calls, texts and emails. We have been advocating and collaborating with community partners to break the stigma that can be a barrier to recovery by sharing our stories of HOPE in numerous venues in the community, state and nationally! We have trained organizations, clubs, medical staff, law enforcement and many others to encourage and facilitate recovery in multiple sectors of our community. We have had some great events to show people how much FUN recovery can be and how long-term recovery is a state of body, mind and spirit wellness!
But on January 20th of 2019, God really showed off!
Farley and Susan Barge were sitting on the couch on a Sunday afternoon when Teresa Cantrell sent an unusual text. Teresa is a prayer warrior on the Navigate Recovery prayer team. She texted, "Susan, I have a real interesting opportunity to ask you about. When would be a good time to talk?" Susan answered with an immediate call back. Teresa shared that their family had sold some land belonging to her precious father's family for generations. Leonard Hinton was a very special man who left a godly legacy and his family wanted to invest some proceeds from their land in a way that would serve the community and make an impact on people's lives for eternity, as Leonard always had.
Teresa began to describe a property she had seen, as Susan listened in amazement. She only had to say that it had 14 bedrooms and 15 baths and had been a Bed and Breakfast, and Susan responded with the location. You see, Farley had seen the "For Sale" sign many months before and had taken Susan down the long, tree-lined drive to look at the outside of the beautiful home. Due to the wonders of technology, they looked it up and saw photos of the inside and agreed that it would make a wonderful recovery residence! Then they saw the price, and laughed at their seeming inability to ever begin a program there. But they decided to pray that God's will be done and reminded each other that God can do the impossible. When they noticed the "For Sale" sign come down, they were mildly disappointed, and went on with the amazing things God was doing at Navigate Recovery! This was at least 6 months prior to Teresa's text message!
On that fateful Sunday afternoon phone conversation, Teresa explained that although the property appeared to be off the market, she had sensed a strong prompt to call about it anyway. The owners told her they had decided to take it off the market for the holidays, but were still interested in selling it! Teresa wanted to know if we might be interested in touring the property with the thought of leasing it for a residential recovery program.
This amazing Hinton/Cantrell/Perrin families, came into agreement to make this a reality in our community. It would have been easier to buy a shopping center or some land, but they never faltered in their resolve to work through months of due diligence to make this recovery resource a reality and use their own blessings to bless others. This family has become very special partners during this journey and an inspiration for the kind of love, support and connection that every woman craves!

Our vision--LIGHTWAY RECOVERY--A long term residential recovery wellness center for women impacted by addiction including pregnant and postpartum women who are working to regain custody of their children. LIGHTWAY will be a safe supportive recovery environment where women are treated with dignity and respect and experience healing of body, mind and spirit while gaining the tools to maintain lifelong recovery!
In Navigate Recovery's work in the community, we have seen a huge need for long term recovery resources for women. This program will have an intensive phase of six months in during which residents receive teaching, coaching, support groups and other tools in an individualized recovery plan because every person's past and pathway is different. Following the intensive phase, residents can remain in our beautiful, safe community environment and gain life skills, work skills and parenting skills.
A Capital Campaign-Our Immediate and Initial Fundraising Goal is $200,000. You can make a general donation or specify where you want your donated funds to be used! Our overall need to become operational is $388.000.
What else could this beautiful home need you might ask? Because the majority of the bedrooms on the ground floor will be converted to office space, meeting space and a coaching room, we need to finish out the 3rd Floor which will give is 5 more bedrooms with private baths, an upstairs office and a common area. We will also need furnishings for this floor. This will give us the capacity to serve 33 women, about half in an intensive 6 month phase and half in a transitional phase. Construction will begin on August 1, prior to opening! We need to show out investors the construction funding is in bank before the end of July! The wishes below show a breakdown on some of the expenses and also some potential donations of services! You can donate towards a wish or make a general donation.
If you prefer you may mail a check to Navigate Recovery Wellness, LLC, 52 Gwinnett Drive, Suite A, Lawrenceville, GA 30046
