Hello Friends and Family,

I have been fortunate in life to come from a great family and live a mostly healthy existence. With this being said I have fallen short in supporting worthy causes and raising money throughout the years. Today I was asked to participate in the "Walk to End Alzheimer's" which is a 5k taking place in Chicago in a few weeks. This is a great opportunity to not only get some much needed excercise but raise money to help find a cure for a devastating disease which robs one's ability to even know who they are.

This cause is important to me for a couple of reasons. The first reason is my Uncle passed away from this ruthless disease a few years back. Uncle Fred was full of life; a top flight baseball pitcher in his day with a big personality. The second reason is that as a young athlete I sustained a number of concussions playing hockey, baseball and even one from a touch football game. In my estimation I probably have sustained 10 or more concussions, most of them between the ages of 14-21. A recent study by the Mayo Clinic shows that these injuries have put me at a greater risk to get Alzheimer's, Parkinson's or CTE.

So I am asking you to help me fight the good fight. Every dollar matters so please help me out! if all you can give is a dollar, that's fine! I have set an aggresive goal of $2500 so large contributions are definitely also welcome! If I reach the goal, there will be a comical surprise in my attire worn during the event which will make it worth it for you. Thanks for reading and click the donate button, this site makes it easy!
