Waysmeet Needs You!

Waysmeet is so much more than a building; it's a vibrant, loving community, a place of refuge, a space that generates hope and compassion. But right now it is our lovely old building that needs a helping hand!

We're hoping that you can help us fund our new roof, electrical and insulation work, so that Waysmeet will be warm, safe, and energy efficient this winter!

No amount is too small; every penny helps! It's a super short fundraiser, so please don't wait for it to pop into your feed again. Donate now! We need your help to make it happen! It all ends Monday, September 8th.

For more info watch the video above or keep reading.

We'd love to tell you more about who we are!

Our Mission is to support and empower the individual and community by creating spaces for communion, service, and social justice. We do this by alleviating the impacts of material, emotional, and spiritual poverty through direct service, education, community building, fostering dialogue and by providing witness, sanctuary, and support. Our vision is to create engaged citizen leaders who will honor the complexities of the human spirit and work to create just and sustainable communities.

We are a community which celebrates people of all races, belief systems, cultures, sexual orientations, ages, abilities and gender identities.

Highlights from the last year:

  • Over 8,000 people were fed through the Cornucopia Food Pantry, which is run by the Waysmeet Center.
  • Hundreds of volunteers found opportunities at Waysmeet. During our holiday food basket drive we had 300 volunteers in just one month!
  • 541 holiday food baskets (valued at $100 each) were distributed, serving a total of 2,200 people.
  • We rescued over 40,000 pounds of food from five establishments.
  • We hosted ten community dinners and eight drum circles, serving 1,500 people.
  • The Flames of Hope program helped two students in dire health and financial circumstances.
  • Eight students lived as an intentional community at Waysmeet.
  • On average 5-7 events or meetings held by student and community groups at Waysmeet per month.
