Those sweet eyes....asking for help that his family wanted to give, but could not.  Magnum is asking the DRSF Community this evening if you would consider a donation to his Fundrazr after he came to us today, literally moments from being put down.

Magnum's family found themselves in a very difficult place personally and then to make matters worse, Magnum went down this past Saturday.  Their situation was not one where they could provide the care he needed or nurse him through on the other side, so they made the difficult choice that so many families do when faced with IVDD, they were going to help him across the bridge.

We are still not completely clear on the chain of events, but Magum's family knew a DRSF forever family and  while Magnum and those sweet eyes were on their way to the vet to cross the bridge, contact was made with the DRSF board, who scrambled for an intake vote (Day jobs can often get in the way of rescue work!), and when we knew we could bring him in, a DRSF volunteer litter called, moments from the vet, and told them to bring Magnum right to Southeast Veterinary Neurology where not a moment was wasted to get him into surgery, and by 4PM he was prepped and in the capable hands of Dr. Anwer.

We are awaiting an update from SEVN who rushed him into surgery as the window for him to have a chance of walking again was closing, but at 5 years old, we had to give him a chance.

Now, as we always do, we turn to our DRSF community, who has been there for us through 21 IVDD surgeries and this time, we will let Magnum do the asking ...."Will you help me?"
