Dear friends and family,

Over the past couple of years I started a project called ‘100 Smiles Project’. Every year I do a leisure/charitable trip where I bring toys along with me in hockey bags and donate them to orphanages and children in need. The goal is to make at least 100 unfortunate children smile in another country.

This year I have over 250 toys plus more to take with me to El Salvador 3-4 hockey bags full. I'm flying with Air Canada this year, submitted an application to have my excess baggage fees waive and was declined.  After a number of attempts and support from friends and family, Air Canada will still not waive the baggage fees.

I've already asked you in supporting me by donating toys. Now that I'm running into this minor problem, I'm hoping you can help me out with a small donation to help me reach my goal $745 to pay for the Air Canada excess baggage fees.

Once donations are in, I will post the receipt on my Facebook wall to all friends and family.  Any additional amount I will pay on my own.  If the baggage fees come to less the amount, I will this money and donate directly to Remar Orphanage (food, water, clothes, etc.)

My flight leaves Dec 28th and I'd like to make sure I get these toys to the children at Remar Orphanage. If you could help me out, that would be great. 100 Smiles Project would really appreciate it!

thanks,
Elly
