A fire started in our home on Friday (10-11-13) at 3 a.m. We had made a small fire in our wood stove before bed, to get the chill off the house. We went to bed thinking everything was okay. At 3 a.m. we were awakened by a loud sound of water and crackling, we rushed into the dining room to find a fire had broken out on our ceiling and attic area next to the wood stove. Josh rushed to grab a container of water to try to put the fire out. The water worked on putting the flames out on the ceiling, but then we noticed water rushing out of the hole about the wood stove. The fire had apparently burst a water pipe which helped slow the fires progress. We thank God we woke up in time and were able to get our babies safely out of our home. We have a three year old son, and a one year old daughter.  It took the fire fighters three hours to make sure the hot embers in the attic were out. Our attic was damaged pretty badly, along with some water damage and holes in our ceiling in the dining room and bathroom areas as well as the roof. Josh has been laid off from his job in Yosemite, and we have yet to hear anything from unemployment, things are a bit uncertain at the moment. If anyone can help in anyway it would be beyond appericiated! (The $1,000 is to help with our deductible) Thanks for any help you may be able to provide our family. Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers!
