We are excited to announce that this year 2022’s Unique Get Together Society's Walk for Trauma will take place in person: our lead director and CEO, Debra Abraham will walk and bike around 400km! You are invited to join her virtually in this healing journey between Kamloops, BC, and New Westminster, BC. All ages and all abilities are welcome to join virtually.
We challenge our friends, families, and colleagues to join us
in this cause to raise funds for children and adults living with trauma.
The event will start on May 24th, 2022 with Debra leaving
Kamloops from South Thompson Inn to New Westminster at Sapperton
Skytrain station. The meeting point and time will be confirmed on
our social media (@ugts.ca) once we get all the logistics sorted
out. UGTS team invites you to participate in this Challenge! We are
walking for trauma. The task is simple -
Walk 400kms in 12 days! That's around 30-35kms
everyday from May 24th to June 3rd, 2022.

will help us with our goal to raise awareness about how to treat
trauma. The funds raised by the event will go towards supporting
children and families who have and are going through trauma, some
due to the recent pandemic of Covid-19. This cause also aims to
reach out to people who have or are experiencing trauma linked to
the loss of a loved one, childhood or adulthood traumatic events,
mental/physical disabilities challenges, or people who just want to
support others. Let’s give these people access to the therapy and
resources so desperately need: these include recreational programs
and community services that UGTS provides.
