Eileen Wooten Lee hasn't added a story.
I am a 65 year old grandmother on ssd (Social Security Disability) with no means of employment. I'm here trying to raise money so I can hire a indepentent CSI. At the age of 17 my grandson (left in picture), his cousin(right in picture) and two friends decided to have a "one more time togther" before my grandson was to enter the army in the following week. Yes, there was drinking involved and they decided they needed more to drink so they left from where they were and went to store to see if they could find someone who was over 21 to buy some more. My grandsons cousin spotted someone he knew from his mother and this person was over 21 and asked him to buy them some more. On their way back they were speeding and and got into a tragic accident. In this wreck my grandson lost his cousin. This is the cousin that my grandson and his mother took into their home. At that time, my grandson was 16 and his cousin was the age of 14. His cousin wanted to end his life. My grandson talked to him for endless hours to convince him that life would get better for him and that him and my grandson had so much more to give to this world. My grandson and a friend were in induced coma and the medicine they used messed with their memory. My grandson and his friend don't remember the accident. The one friend had minor injuries and when the friend got out of truck she told one person that the cousin was driving. Instead of calling 911 she called someone to come get her. The friend left the scene of the accident. Enough said about how I feel about the injustice of how this case was handle. I feel that with the injuries my grandson substained in my eyes doesn't put him behind the wheel. Keep in mind, their investigation put the truck at 51mph hitting a culvert and not wearing a seatbelt. I feel that my grandson would of broken his ribcage in front, not fractured them in his back. His right side of his face, above his eyebrow and around the corner of his eye and down his cheek had deep lacerations. The right side of his nose and right side of his upper lip as well, along with a fractured hip. My grandson has been called a murderer by his cousin's family and some of their "so called" friends. My grandson is not a murderer he is a very caring person. Because we could not afford a private attorney, my grandson had to go with a public defender. My grandson listened to his public defender which told him to go with a open plea which inturn blind sided him now he is in prison for 2 felonies resulting in 4 years prison and 10 years probation and no chance of ever serving his country. My goal is to see if im right about his injuries proving he wasn't behind the wheel and with the new evidence they would have to overturn their charges on him. Don't get me wrong, I and his mother do not approve of drinking and driving for our children and I am guilty of drinking too at that age and as you know as we age and grow up our thinking changes to what our own parents said to us. So I'm hoping there are parents and or grandparents out there that have drank at that age and would help me raise enough money to hire a independent CSI. I'm thinking in the range of $5,000 to $10,000. I'm in need of this A.S.A.P as he is in prison at this time. As I write this to ask for help, thank you in advance for you help in this matter, also feel free to share again i thank you in this matter.
