For the better part of three years, a rare eye disease known as 'keratoconus' has completely obliterated this boy's psyche. At just 17, his vision is deteriorating at an alarming rate - reporting the classic symptoms such as ghosting, total night blindness, bleeding from bright lights and visual distortions in sync with his pulse. He is struggling so much with the condition that he cannot even write one sentence whilst at college, he longingly reminisces about the first 13 years of his life (when he had 20/20 vision) and he has even developed suicidal thoughts.

In order to fully restore this adolescent's vision, or at least to a satisfactory standard, he requires a corneal transplant - an unfortunately costly procedure. Spectacles and contact lenses have been worn by the boy to no avail. We sincerely hope that his corneas will be remedied in the near future, so that he can resume a happy and joyful life. Your donations are greatly and wholeheartedly appreciated.

The transplant is to be conducted within the UK. Thank you.
