Firefighter down
$300 raised

4 Years running

This story may seem too unlikely to be real, buy I swear it's all true. My best friend Sean, who just turned 30, has been through everything. He used to be a paid Firefighter, and was one of the best. Seven years ago he was charged with a DUI for crashing his truck into a tree. He then resigned his position out of respect for the job and hasn't touched a drop of alcohol since.  Since then he continued to volunteer at the local fire department.

After that, he started a construction company, but due to his giving nature and trusting personality, customers have walked all over him, and even though every job was done above and beyond, some people don't like splitting with their money, so the business has recently gone bankrupt.

Couple of years ago he fought cancer and finally beat it. Shortly thereafter, he was lifting an appliance and his back broke.  Workman's comp said they wouldn't cover him and so did homeowners insurance.

In the midst of all of this, Wells Fargo decided that since he missed a payment for his house, they would call in the whole ticket, thus putting his house in foreclosure. To pay his employees, he sold his jeep ( his favorite material possession) and took out a title loan, and is now scrapping everything he's got together to keep that.

He had a mentor that guided him through his sobriety, but he recently passed away due to cancer.

He has sold almost everything he had to help pay bills, and since he is currently unable to pay his property tax, the county is going to put him in jail for 15 days.

He's spent his whole life doing everything he could to do the right thing and help people, but the waves just keep crashing on top of him.

He's currently fighting depression, but who wouldn't be. He's out of options, so I'm making this so that maybe he won't have to spend any time in jail.  Anything more will go towards helping him climb out of this pit of despair.

Please help him.
