Jesse was adopted while he was still three weeks old. After two weeks he had already visited the doctor twice, that's when he was diagnosed with rectal atresia (type 1). He was born with this condition and we were told he would have to undertake surgery in order to live a normal life and proper life.

What happens is that his rectal opening is not completely formed/developed meaning the last portion of this part is not wide enough to allow the passage of stool, so he basically cannot poop. As our last resource, if he does not undertake the surgery in time, he will have to be put down.

The procedures will be conducted by Dr Laura Cuddy at UCD (University College Dublin) in three weeks from now because only then Jesse will be strong and big enough to undertake the proceedures with minimal risks. Utimately there's a 50% chance that he might need a second sugery of the same kind to finish fixing his rectal opening but this will only be possible to know afterwards.

This lovely playful kitten needs your donation because we cannot afford with all the costs of the surgery, exams, vet bills and his meds, all estimated in over €1500.

Jesse really appreciate every little help that anyone could offer.

Thanks very much.

Gabriel, Thais and Jesse.

======================================================================

Gabriel, Thais e Jesse.
