Our wonderful Mundie has finally called it quits.  After 2 hip replacements, a back surgery and more arthritic knobs on his hands than you can imagine from pulling those strings just right has finally taken its toll.  He desperately wants to spend more time with his wife of 47 years and the time has come.

He has strung rackets for close to 40 years and most of those for the Stanford Men's and Women's teams many of whom were NCAA team/individual champs as well as those that went on to pro careers.

However, he gave the same attention to the recreational player's racket as he did to Jimmy Connors.  BTW, Connors has never been happy with a stringers first string job.  When Connors played at Stanford for the Legends Tour with Mac and Co. in 2000, he needed a racket strung and Mundie took care of it.  Not one complaint from Jimbo, a first!

Mundies dream has been to attend a Grand Slam with his wife Kathy, where so many of "his players" played.  He called them his players because he felt a part of the team for so long and took great satisfaction in the fact that his work helped a player win.

Let's all band together to give a true craftsman and the "greatest stringer that ever lived" the send off he deserves and help make his dream come true.  He will be missed but never forgotten!

No contribution is too small or too big!

Thanks to all that contribute!
