Dear Family and Friends,

As Operation Protective Edge enters its third week, we also enter the month of Av, the darkest month on the Jewish calendar. Both the First and Second Temples were destroyed during the month of Av and even today our enemies are intent on destroying what we've rebuilt--the State of Israel.

By now I imagine we're all exhausted from the social media overload--both showing our support for Israel and witnessing the rampant anti-Semitism all over the world. But thousands of our young IDF soldiers are still in Gaza right now fighting to protect the the State of Israel and the principles of freedom and democracy that we hold so dear. They haven't had the opportunity to rest and neither should we.

To honor the memory of the 53 brave IDF soldiers who sacrificed their lives, I've decided to help raise money to purchase life-saving equipment and care packages for these brave young men and women. Funds donated will go directly to the soldiers to provide them with whatever they are most in need of. Family and friends in Israel have volunteered to purchase food, clothing (i.e. quality undergarments), and equipment (i.e. headlamps for use in the tunnels) and deliver them directly to the soldiers who desperately need it.

Our goal is to keep these boys well-equipped and prepared to protect Israel, but our efforts also boost morale and demonstrate that we--the supporters of freedom and democracy in America--stand behind them.

If you would like to donate, please visit the website link below. THE DONATION LINK IS ONLY OPEN THROUGH AUGUST 8. Any amount is helpful and greatly appreciated.

And please take a moment to forward to your family and friends and ask for their support as well.

Sincerely,
Gillad Matiteyahu
