Samantha and Kaitlyn are identical twins who were born September 12, 2013  (5 weeks early). Today (May 7, 2014) they were diagnosed with Plagiocephaly. Cranial molding bands (helmets) are used in an effort to minimize surgical intervention and maximize outcome at a fraction of the cost of surgery. This condition, left untreated can leave a patient with persistent facial asymmetry. Each helmet costs $2,500 and they will need to be seen frequently during the 3 month period they have to wear them ($40 copay each visit). The doctor said the earlier the better in order to see the best results. The girls will have to wear the helmets for 23 hours a day for a total of 3 months. They are approaching the 8 month mark and he would like to have them on by 9 months. This does not leave much time. I have created this site to help my sister and her family with the costs to help my beautiful nieces. Anything you can contribute would be very much appreciated. Thank you and God Bless.
