My name is natalie and i am in training to run a half marathon to raise money for a small rescue names South Coast Staffie Rescue.

They are a small voluntary team, who are dedicated owners and lovers of staffies, runs Southcoast Staffie Rescue.

They are based in Sussex and cover the whole of the south coast including Sussex, Kent, Hampshire, Dorset, Devon and sometimes further afield.

They take in dogs from a variety of backgrounds including strays, relationship breakdowns and cruelty cases etc. They need to find suitable homes for these dogs to have the best possible life.

"Based on these figures, if we have a male dog in kennels for 4 weeks, after being neutered, wormed, de-flea'd and vaccinated, he will have cost us £406!" - Southcoast staffie rescue website.

When you read how much it actually costs to keep these dogs safe and to give them a better chance in life, it really does put it in perspective.

We hope you can find it in your heart to donate some money to this wonderful cause.
