My name is Leanne and I'll be volunteering at an animal rehabilitation centre in Ecuador on the edge of the Amazon rainforest. Many of the animals are illegally trafficked and used as domestic pets. Wild animals are not supposed to be domestic pets and can become aggressive. When this happens, they are neglected and abandoned by their owners. The program aims to home and care for the animals and nurse them back to health.

Currently, the centre is caring for over 100 animals, which include capuchin, woolly, tamarind and spider monkeys, cats such as ocelots and margays and many other mammals and reptiles.

They are solely reliant on the hard work and dedication of volunteers. Please, please help me to raise the funds I need in order to work there and make a difference. All donations are welcome! Even as little as a pound. Thank you!
