My name is Nathan and I am 19 years old. I have been chosen by my school to go to Zambia, to work with a Brighton based charity called Kaloko Trust. I am going out there to work for free. We are helping to construct long drop toilets and we are also working with the local carpentry cooperative to help in constructing tables and chairs for the school children. We will be using local materials, and builders will be showing us how to make bricks from termite frass. Your donation will help with travel, food and accommodation costs, and will also provide a donation direct to the charity. Kaloko doesn't dictate peoples needs, it is a grass roots development project, so works from the bottom up, rather than the top down, asking the locals what is needed.
