On New Year's Day 2014, Michael Tulane Johnson found ultimate freedom as he easily passed on into the next phase of life. Michael grew up in Virginia Beach, Va. was 45 years old and born on December, 28th, 1968, in Stuttgart, Germany. He had been living in Arlington, Va for about 7 years. Michael was entertaining and very talented artistically. His passion was working with his hands carving wood and bone as well as sketching and painting. He worked mostly as a master cabinet finisher and carpenter for the past 25 years.

Michael was the grandson of the late retired U.S. Navy Commander Vernon J Sistrunk of Virginia Beach, Va; and is survived by his grandmother, Agnes “Jonnie” Sistrunk of Virginia Beach, Va; his mother and step-father, Donna and Gregory Magee of Melbourne, Fl; his father, Joseph Edward Frizzell of Virginia Beach, Va; his daughter, Brogan Nicole Kelley of Virginia Beach, Va; his sister, Holly Lynne Patterson of Sterling, Va; his half-sister, Christina Frizzell of Sterling, Va; his half-sister Amanda Frizzell of Winchester, Va; his nieces, Mykal Rae-Lynne Wilson and Sydney Jean Wilknight Patterson of Sterling, Va; aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.

A small memorial will be held on Sunday, January 26th, 2014, at noon, in Virginia Beach. We will meet with family and friends in the Lowes parking lot. The address is 2403 Virginia Beach Blvd, Virginia Beach, VA. Please wear appropriate shoes as we will be walking in through brush to the railroad tracks.
