Back in early September Ride to Give received a number of emails asking us to check out a Facebook page called “Pray for Grant Terrell.” Grant is a spunky 2 year old Georgia boy who, along with his sister Elizabeth, is the light of his parent’s eye. On August 26th after many trips to pediatricians for numerous reasons, Grant’s parents Mori and Steven took him to Scottish Rite in Atlanta for further examination. They received heartbreaking news on the 27th after doing a full body scan that Grant had what they thought was Stage 4 Neuroblastoma cancer. They did more scans and discovered his body was full of tumors.

On August 29th the doctors took a biopsy to get a better grasp of what they were dealing with and also started chemotherapy. He had done well with the chemotherapy through the weekend and on Tuesday September 3rd the doctors got results back from the biopsy and found that he did not have Neuroblastoma, but Stage 4 Rhabdomyosarcoma. The doctors are now discussing the best treatment for Grant. They will be doing chemo, weekly, for the next year and will eventually be doing radiation as well. Other treatment options are still being discussed.

To better assist his family in keeping in contact while Grant is receiving his weekly chemo and for him to stay entertained, Ride to Give wants to get Grant and his family an iPad.  We can’t imagine what it must be like for this tight knit family to spend so many days apart or for little Grant to go from days fishing with Dad to endless hours in the hospital.  Please help us raise $1000 to surprise a special little boy and bring a little light back into this family's lives.
