We don't have a sad story, just a teenage girl who wants to play ball. Morgan is a sophomore in high school, plays fastpitch for her school team and is on the 15U Oklahoma Twisters Competitive fast pitch team.  She is a varsity starter for school ball and a starting 2nd basemen for her competitive team. She practices six days a week, sometimes having two practices a day, one for school and one for competitive ball. Each one of these practices are usually two to three hours long. This does not include her private lessons she gets for fielding and hitting. She's a cool kid and pretty darn good at what she does. I know all the moms say that, but in this case it is true. :-) For the love of the game she gives up her evenings, weekends, birthday parties, get-togethers and sleep. Her dream is to play college ball and she is doing everything she can to get there.

Now that she is recruiting age, the fees for softball have hit the roof. We no longer will be playing local tournaments. We will be traveling out of state for Elite Showcases, Disney World in July for Nationals, prospect camps and many other tournaments, all in hopes to be seen by scouts. I would hate for her to miss an opportunity to shine because the fees were to great. Her teams are like any other teams, they fundraise to cover cost, but there is only so much cookie dough, car washes, raffle tickets one person can by. Many of the parents (myself included) work the Thunder games to help cover some of the expenses. Since our team is a non-for-profit, we can work selling popcorn at the games and make some extra money. Without help, she will not be able to attend all of the camps and tournaments she needs to attend.

Many of the expenses we have are, but definitely not limited too: uniforms, equipment, tournament fees, coaching fees, indoor facility maintenance, and travel expenses.

Any help she can get is greatly appreciated. We don't have a lot to offer but hate to ask for "free" money. Here is what we will do.

For a $25 donation we will take a picture of her holding a sign with your name or business on it, at all the parks we play. Thanking you for your donation. We will send you a picture and post it on Facebook.

For a $50 donation we will do the same as a $25 donation plus we will add a video.

For a $200 donation we will send you either a tournament t-shirt (your choice in size) or souvenir from one of the major tournaments and will do the same thing we do for a $25 and $50 donation.
