As an outspoken advocate for student educational rights at Arizona Schools for the Deaf and the Blind, my position as CTE/Agriculture Education was terminated 4/17/2013. My support for Dr. Nancy Amann who was placed on Adminstrative Leave for undisclosed reasons, an avid supporter of the Agriculture Education program, resulted in retaliatory actions from the ASDB administration. I am now forced to seek legal action against the agency in order to ensure that the future of Agriculture Education is not taken away from both Deaf and Blind students. The Board of Directors and the current Administration under Robert Hill has created a hostile environment for students, staff and faculty members. Students have actively protested against the Administration's decision but are not being given an opportunity to be heard. This lawsuit will bring to the forefront the long practice of suppressing outspoken employees of the school who speak out against the lack of commitment to the vision and mission of the school to provide these students with the best possible education available. I cannot pursue this case without your help, it's not about my job it's about the students!
