As many of you know, I am currently in the School of Nursing at the University of Victoria, in my third year of study. This spring I have been given the amazing opportunity to travel to Windhoek, Namibia in the south of Africa to learn about nursing in another culture. I will be working primarily with children and labour and delivery in a hospital that treats people living in great poverty in the township of Katutura, Namibia. I will also be working at the Home of Good Hope, which was started by my instructor as a soup kitchen to feed children in the area. This trip will cost me a lot of travel expense on top of my tuition. I would also like to have enough funds to bring soccer balls and art supplies for the children at the soup kitchen, as well as blanket for mothers taking their babies home from the hospital, as they do not have these types of things. Any help is greatly appreciated!!!!
