Being an extremely proud dad--you've probably seen updates on ANDREW CLAYTON's journey in the Strongman World. As you may remember, Andrew (still 19) recently set 4 American records at the Record Breakers Competition in central Florida. The most impressive was the American Amateur Axle Press. He raised the record to 410 lbs! (I have attached a video of that lift. The wild and delirious laughiing you hear is me!!) He also set 3 American Teen records. He's on to his NEXT goal--currently training for the 2012 North America Strongest Man Competition to be held at Harrah's Casino south of Memphis on November 2-3, 2012. He will compete in 7 grueling events and he is tremendously focused on his preparation. Unfortunately between his 18 credit hours in athletic training at UNF, his internship every day at Episcopal HS, and his personal training regime; he has been unable to spend much time cultivating corporate sponsorships for his trip. I told him I would send this out to you. With no pressure in the request--I'm wondering if you would be willing to assist/sponsor Andrew. His current needs are between $1200-$1500. This would cover travel (airfare/rental car), hotel (3 night minimum), meals (many of them!), and clothing/training supplies. I have paid the entry fee and will do all I can to get him there in the best shape possible. Anything you can do to support his efforts is a blessing. Thanks for your time.
