Hello my name is George Strong and my little sister Kayla has been diagnosed with a rare non-cureable disease called Dysautonomia. It is a disease that attacks her central nervous system and causes her to have seizures, migraines, cyclic vomitting, short term memory loss, thermal dysregulation, and small fiber neurothopy. She also has pseudotumor cerebri. In January of 2012 she had to have a VP shunt placed in her brain because her pressures were too high and she has lost 45% of her vision in her left eye. Now she is battleing pre cancer cells caused from esophogeal issues and we are having to take her back to Ohio soon for a possible feeding tube they are trying to heal her esophogus from the barrettes disease she now has which if they cannot get it controlled it can turn into a fatal esophogeal cancer. My mom just received a letter from the doctors saying that her white blood cell count is too high so waiting to here back on what they will do next. We know they want her up there in October because insurance only pays for her test every 90 days. My family has finally found the most wonderful doctors...problem is they are located in Cleveland Ohio and her and my mom spent 90 days there last year and they have been in Ohio 35 days so far this year and will be in ohio many more days this year, they have already made one trip over spring break and the whole month of june and part of july. The money I raise goes to Kayla's medical needs, occupational therapy and water therapy ,physical therapy, travel, hotel stays ,rental car for her to be able to make it to her doctor appointments and her medicines. . She also has a benefit account you can donate to at WOODFOREST BANK 15955 FM 529 Houston Texas 77095 inside walmart. She is one awesome sister she always manages to keep a smile on her face and a great uplifting spirit !!! My parents recently had her tested and found she has alot of learning disabilites too where she was placed in special ed with other health impairments. Please help us if you can we really appreciate it and Kayla thanks you all . May you have a blessed day Love the Strongs.
