Anne’s Light Myeloma Foundation is bringing communities together across Ontario for a meaningful day of connection, awareness, and friendly competition in celebration of National Pickleball Day - SMASHING MYELOMA!

Anne's Light Myeloma Foundation is a not-for-profit organization created in memory of Anne Tulett, who battled Myeloma before her passing in late 2023.

REGISTRATION

Launching June 1, 2026, this event will build momentum with fundraising leading up to our on-court casual play & afternoon 'Doubles Tournament' on August 8, 2026, Fairgrounds Racquet Clubs across Ontario will rally together to help shine a light on myeloma awareness and support the Foundation’s mission of finding a cure for blood cancer!

More than just a tournament, this campaign is about hope, tenacity and making an impact together - one game, one club, one donation and one supporter at a time.

Whether you’re playing, donating, sharing, or cheering from the sidelines, you’re helping Anne’s Light Myeloma Foundation continue to raise awareness, support those affected by myeloma, and bring people together through the power of sport and community.

HOW TO REGISTER

[Please READ the event overview in full]

1. CREATE YOUR FUNDRAZR PROFILE  OR SIGN IN if you already have one. 

           1A. GO BACK TO OUR EVENT PAGE Fundrazr.com/smashingmyeloma

2. HIT THE 'REGISTER' BUTTON on the upper right-hand side of the screen. You will be taken to the registration form.

3.  FILL OUT ALL OF THE FIELDS IN THE FORM - name, email address, etc.  You must choose a Fairgrounds location to be associated with.  Ideally, this will be the same location you will play pickleball at on August 8th, 2026.

4. PAY THE $10 REGISTRATION FEE - you will see a pop-up on your screen that says PAY YOUR FEE. 

Since we are required by law to charge a fee in exchange for the pickleball play, you will be asked for payment with PayPal, or Credit Card. This fee cannot be claimed on your taxes as it is a service fee.

5. CONFIRM REGISTRATION IN YOUR EMAIL - Once completed, you will receive an email to confirm your registration. When you click on the 'confirmation,' you will be taken back to your personal page where you will see our campaign.

6. POPULATE YOUR PAGE! - In the story section, you can tell us your personal story, why Myeloma support is important to you, and why you are getting involved! Add your picture too! This will be visible to the people who you share your link with.

Myeloma is an incurable blood cancer that starts in the bone plasma cells. Myeloma affects thousands of Canadians every year. In fact, every day 11 Canadians will be diagnosed with Myeloma, yet many Canadians have never heard of this cancer. Help us shine a light on Myeloma, and fund a cure!

4. HIT THE SHARE BUTTON! This is your personal 'link' that can be shared with friends, family and other donors to pledge donations to your personal event page.  You can also share this link by clicking on the icons - Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn - for donations. If you wish to so it manually, you can always copy the URL in the upper address bar of your campaign page, and paste it in your emails as well.

6. FUNDRAISE! - Share your link with friends, family, and others via email or on social media! 

7. ONCE YOUR DONATIONS MEET $100 minimum donation requirement, you will receive an invitation by email to book your Pickleball play at your chosen Fairgrounds location for August 8th, 2026.

8. FOR BOOKING AUGUST 8TH ON COURT, PLEASE CHOOSE  ONE OF THE FOLLOWING OPTIONS:    

                                   1 - LEARN & PLAY! - beginners group clinics and casual play (9am - 1pm)

                                   2 - PLAY TO WIN! - more advanced players can play in our doubles tournament (12noon - 6pm)

Learn and Play is for those players who want to play casual or attend a instructional clinic to learn more about pickleball.

Play to Win is a Doubles tournament that will be conducted in the afternoon at each location.  You will only compete at your chosen location.

9. PLAY AT YOUR CHOSEN FAIRGROUNDS ON AUGUST 8TH!

Beginner Clinics and casual play begins at 10AM at all locations

Doubles Tournament begins at 1pm at all locations

Some locations will host sponsor booths and giveaways! Representatives from Anne's Light will be at each location, along with the Fairgrounds team. Canadian Blood Services will be on site at Hamilton and Etobicoke Faigrounds locations accepting blood & plasma donation registrations. Fairgrounds Leaside location will also host the Crank Coffee Bus and Wholly Veggie veggie brugers and sweet potato fries samples! And Good Protein will hand our some of their delicious protein shakes at Vaughan and Whitby Locations. Stay tuned for more announcements in June and July!

ELIGIBILITY

All registrants will be charged a registration fee of $10. To be eligible to play Pickleball on August 8th at a select  Ontario Fairgrounds location, each Fundraiser must raise $100 CDN or more in donations. To be entered to win the Top Fundraisers Grand Prize, registrants must fundraise a minimum of $500 cdn. Winners will be selected amongst top fundraisers.

RECIEPTS

All donations will receive an email receipt directly to the email address provided from Anne's Light Myeloma Foundation, a registered

Not For Profit Organization #1768687-1. General registration receipts will be issued upon payment of a nominal registration fee of $10.00 cdn.

DONATION RECEIPTS equaling the donation minus the admin. fee will be sent via email, however the donor can opt to cover the admin. fee as well. Please note: these are general receipts. ALMF is awaiting Charity Status processing. CRA tax receipts will only be provided, if applicable, upon charitable status approval from the Canada Revenue Agency. CRA receipts will be processed and issued no later than Dec. 31, 2026, as required by law if the donation is made after it is processed by CRA. Otherwise, a general receipt will be issued. No affiliate or partner charitable organizations are permitted to provide CRA receipts for this event.

Prize disclaimer

Prize winners agree to pick up prizes at the location they choose in registration or where applicable, Anne's Light will mail to winners.

All prizes will be accepted as is. No substitutions or changes will be made. Prizes are non-transferable, and will not carry any cash value.  Prizes are provided by our sponsors and are subject to change. Prize winners may forfeit the prize if so desired. Lungovita Beach retreat stays, and other prizes for tournament winners are accepted as is - one prize per 'double'.
