Often referred to as "the soccer program," Safe and Sound 4 Student Success program combines after-school soccer and tournaments with academic support. The program leverages the positive school connection through after-school soccer to reach out to those who need additional academic support and building critical student/parent relationships. Students in S4 will have progress reports every three weeks to add and build meaningful relationships with school staff and peers. 

The S4 program is free for all its participants. Your gift provides students a safe place to be after school, academic assistance, transportation home and healthy food for students, many of whom suffer from food insecurity. 

Over the past three years, data consistently showed that students participating in S4 do better than their control group peers.

• Attendance: S4 students are attending school 94% of the time compared to the 92% rate of their non-participating peers. While this difference seems small, over the year it ends up that S4 students are on track to attend 3.6 days of school than their peers.
• Behavior: For the current year, 87% of S4 students have 0 disciplinary incidents compared to 82% of the control group.
• Grades: In Language Arts, S4 students did considerably better than their non-participating peers with 79% of S4 students getting a C or better, compared to 68% of non-participating peers.
