Update: 9/14/14: Sopac is working on his training, to help him become a model canine citizen. He's getting help being social with new people and surroundings via an excellent trainer. He continues to be a well behaved, smart, sensitive, and gentle boy. He has received all of his necessary vetting and his neuter will be coming up, shortly. We're currently looking for a committed foster or adoptive home, where his new human will continue his training and give him what he longs for most- love! please fill in a foster application at

9/1/14: Please donate to help Sopac, the South Orange wandering pup. He is currently being vetted (neuter + vaccs+ bloodwork + meds; his paws are very sore and he is underweight), housed, and fed, by a couple of concerned citizens that have stepped up to take care of his needs. It would be such a nice gesture if the community could help lighten their financial load, as they are stretched thin, already being volunteers in the animal rescue world. This is a great way to contribute if you were concerned when he was a stray, and weren't sure how to help!

I can provide receipts to anyone interested in seeing them. Please email me

his story: SOPAC was appropriately named for the parking lot he was found in (South Orange Performing Arts Center). He has been on the run for some time, eluding concerned citizens for days, and we finally caught him! We believe he may have been dumped in the lot, as he kept going back there to look for someone. He still needs an immediate and committed foster home, who will keep him safe and sound until his forever home is found. He is sweet, calm, gentle, loves tennis balls and needs a quiet place to heal up. He is an all around great dog, and very obedient. He is 55lbs and the vet believes he is approx 2 yrs old. pls call or email Jade if you are interested in giving him a home Sopac day 2 of capture :)(917)673-7678,

We are also still searching for his original owner, in case he is actually a loved pet. So far no one has come forward.
