Laura Drewry hasn't added a story.
My name is Noah, I'm a 9 month old German Shepherd mixed boy, I weigh 41lbs and I just found my forever home. I was hours away from euthanization until my new family came in to rescue me. They told me they came specifically for me. Me? I just couldn't believe it! You see, I am heartworm positive and I guess that makes it even more difficult for a dog to find a family. That's hard for me to understand since I'm only 9 months old and just the sweetest, most adorable dog ever (okay, okay I'm a bit impartial, but it's true). My new Mom and Dad say they can take care of my annual visits and preventatives but need some help to get rid of these pesky worms. Please don't be alarmed by the goal amount, my new Mom is relatively new to the disease so she doesn't know what treatment entails just yet. She thought she was just a cat person, well that it is until she met me! Turns out she's just an animal person. She told me that once my vet costs are covered any remaining funds will be donated to the next doggy who's forever family needs some help or she'll turn this page over to a local rescue group.
I'm really excited to be able to share my kisses and cuddles with my
new brother's and sister. My new sister is the one who named me. I
guess I'm going to have twins for brother's and she said I was like
Noah because he loved creatures in two's and that I'm going to save my
oldest brother from his storm! And boy will I ever love those kids, so
she's a pretty smart girl I guess. My Mom told me that I was going to
be a super special dog because my oldest brother was just diagnosed
with SPD and his doctor recommended he have a dog to help him through,
so I guess we're just meant for each other.
My life was saved tonight, please donate so I can live it!
Love, Noah "Turtle Pie" Drewry
