One afternoon last week, a woman was driving along a busy road on her way home from work, when she saw a little dark bundle of fur bouncing around underneath the truck in front of her.

Swerving to avoid hitting the object, the woman caught a glimpse of a crumpled little bundle of fur.  She pulled over to the edge of the road, exited her car, and ran to get the little bundle before another car hit it.  She found a tiny little gray Tabby kitten.  It's leg mangled from the impact.  Panicked, she took the kitten home, made a rough splint and kept the kitten safe until she was able to contact the Giles County Humane Association and a local vet.

Upon observation, Casey was found to have a broken leg at the shoulder.  The muscle and nerve severed and so damaged, she will never have any use of  it.  Therefore, the decision was made to amputate.  However, she is young enough and should adapt quickly.

Please help us spread Casey's story and get her vet bills covered and help find a Foster or a Forever Home for this little angel.  If you should have any questions, please contact the Giles County Humane Association at 931-363-5455, or find us on Facebook  giles county humane association.
