Frodo is a 3 year old black labrador, when he was a pup his owner threw him against a wall and broke both of his back legs.

He was rescued and treated by the RSPCA, his current owner, Carole, heard of his story and had to have him.

He had emergency surgery which consisted of two metal plates being inserted. This procedure was only going to be a temporary measure, the vet envisaged that he would need hip replacement surgery a few years down the line.

The time has come and the option of surgery was explored, initially the numerous fund raising efforts were to cover the cost of the surgery as it would've been in excess of £3,000, but because of his medical past he was uninsurable.

After being assessed by the vet it wasn't good news, unfortunately he has a lot of arthiritis in his bones and would not survive surgery.

The vet recommended palliative care which consists of regular visits to a doggie physio to increase his core strength, he has attended a handful of sessions and already has increased mobility and strength in his back legs.

The new aim of the fundraising is to ensure he has the best possible quality of life for his remaining years, this means regular visits to the physio to maintain his core strength - I'd like to raise as much money as possible to go towards his hydro-physio.

I will be cycling from Bristol to Lands End over two days.

I will set off from Bristol on Friday the 21st June and head to Dartmoor National Park where I will stay for the evening.

The following day I will make the second stage of the journey down to Lands End, after completing this section I have another short ride over to Penzance where I will be staying for the evening.

I have a support vehicle in the shape of either my Dad, or brother in law.

The total distance is around 210 miles, I will aim to finish the total journey in around 15 hours....sore bum time!

This is a worthwhile cause where any donation is welcome.

Thank you for your support.
