Fennore came to us from a shelter in NC. We had endured a house fire in 2008 that stole our fur babies from us. We lost my Pomeranian, Toby, and my fiance's husky, Koda. It took months for Chris to decide he was ready for another dog. We looked at picture after picture, and he just didn't feel a connection to any dog I showed him. When I showed him Fennore's picture, he immediately said "That's the one." When we called to say we wanted to adopt her, we were told that she was in the gas chamber at that very moment, and they would try and catch the worker to stop the timer and get her out. We got a call a few minutes later, saying that they got her out and she would come up to us in the next few weeks. When she came to us, she was filthy, bone skinny, completely malnourished, dehydrated, heartworm positive, and had no medical history at all. She also had erlichia. We worked to fatten her up and get her healthy. She underwent heartworm treatment, and went into cardiac arrest during the treatment. She pulled through, however, and is now a healthy, happy husky who is the light of our life. Everyone who meets her falls in love, and she is just the perfect dog, despite her rough beginnings. She saved our hearts after we lost our babies to a fire, and she helped us survive, really.

I recently noticed a lump on her back. I brought her to the vet, and they have told us it's a tumor, possibly cancerous. She needs to get it removed. We had to do a full blood panel on her, which was done today (5/9/13) and in two weeks, she goes in to have the tumor removed as well as have some dental work done that she is desperately needing. Between today's visit and the surgery, we are looking at a bill of around $1000, possibly more (I made the fundrazr for $1075, because fundrazr takes 5% and paypal takes 2.2% plus $0.30 per transaction). Her surgery is scheduled for Friday, May 24th.

I gave my all for years for rescued dogs. I gave all the time I had, all the money I had, my everything. And now, when it comes time for my dog to need help, I'm reaching out to all of you to help her. Please help us raise some funds to offset the cost of her surgery! She is our baby, and we want her to be healthy again!! Thank you all, any dollar helps!
