As the summer is coming near again I am starting to plan for a trip to Kenya, Africa again. I realize this is a lot of money to be raised, but with the Lord I know and believe it will be possible. My father will be traveling with me again as well; however, he will be paying for his expenses himself and will try to help me out as much as he can.

For starters, let me tell you a little about myself. I am Colbi Goff if you do not know me. I currently attend MSU-Springfield. While living there I have came across wonderful opportunities. I ended up getting a job at Springfield First Community Bank; there are so many wonderful people there. Then I got asked to become a Club Bear volleyball coach for a group of 11 year olds. At the beginning I was not really sure if I would even be able to go; however, with God there is a way. I asked my boss if there was anyway I could take off for 2 and 1/2 weeks in the summer and her response was "its a great opportunity, I will make it work." Also, with the other job coaching I will have a little extra funds to help with the trip. The fact that everything seems to be falling into place lets me know this is where God wants me to go.

The trip will be a lot like the other two. We will be staying at Shangilia Orphanage for 10-12 days. We will be helping around the facilities with the children, garden, possibly helping build or repair things, visiting schools in the area, and going on prayer walks. Prayer walks are most likely one of the most important things we do there. It helps reach out to a lot of the families in the surrounding village. Many of them are widows and raising many children and cannot hardly afford to take care of themselves let alone a whole family. Many of the people there do not know the Lord or what it really means to be a Christian and that is where we come in.

The people at the orphanage are so welcoming. They are always putting the people around them above themselves and the Lord is in the center of everything. I have made so many wonderful friends and bonds with people over there that I could not imagine not going back.

The trip with cost around 3,000 for myself. That will include everything I need: airlines, staying at Shangilia (they take care of our food and shelter), medicine, and all the necessities we need to bring. Any small donation would help. I am also going to try to have a couple other fundraising events sometime from now to the beginning of July. 100% of the funds donated will go towards the trip and if I raise more than my goal that money will be donated to the orphanage and the families in need.

If you are not able to donate then please keep us all in your thoughts and prayers as we are preparing for the trip. Also, here are a few links to check out:
