Ludivia has battled cancer since 2009 (Breast Cancer) & two months ago her worse nightmare came back. She was diagnosed with an agressive form of Ovarian Cancer where inmediate surgery and Chemo were performed. Besided her treatment she'll be going to the American Wellness Center Clinicn Atlanta, GA but that will only be possible with your contribution. Health insurance won't cover all costs. Your help is deeply appreciated!! Ludivia Gonzales (Ludy as we call her) is an amazing 43 year old mother of two; a seventeen year old daughter named Gisella and a five year old son named Kevin. She has had the fortune to have a wonderful man in her life for nine years- Mauricio, stick by her side through this terrible ordeal. Ludy is a caring, sweet and super strong partner, daughter, sister and friend who has so much to live for specially for her children. She lived a normal life like yours and mine. She worked full time, enjoyed going to the beach, catching up with friends, dancing, shopping, and spending time with her family... All of that was shattered when in 2009 she was diagnosed with Breast Cancer. Thanks to God and the efforts of Gwinnett Medical Hospital she had Chemotherapy treatment, surgery (Lumpectomy) and Radiation all in one year. (September 2009 - May 2010). With much faith and hope she was able to start her life over after the rigurous and exausting treatments as advised by her doctors, numerous Chemiotherapy and Radiation sessions and determination seemed to be working and recovering to a Cancer free life. Sadly, after just a couple of years in remission Ludy received yet the worse news anyone can ever get. Unfortunately her worse fears became a reality when last spring she was surprised again by the ghost of Cancer,This Cancer was back but this time it has metastasized not only in her Ovaries but also much more aggressive and brought with it a lot of pain. One day at the end of April she suddenly had a horrible experience. Not being able to breath. This had happened to her before a few times but this time it was unbearable. she was quickly driven to the Emergency room where fluids had accumulated in her left lung and in her stomach. It was a very traumatic and hurtful episode for not only her but for her children as well. The doctors decided she needed to have surgery imminently. A Hysterectomy was performed on May 2, 2012. Three weeks later after recovering from the surgery she started Chemotherapy once again. The doctor assigned her 18 treatments, one every week. Now she is fighting against this cancer day by day for her family and her friends. Devastation among her family and us her friends is an understatement. Needless to say Ludivia isn't able to work, her husband is now her primary caretaker working a few hours here and there, but they are barely making it with what friends and family help with. That's is why this page has been created by friends of Ludivia who have been volunteering on a daily basis since her newly diagnosed cancer about three months ago . We've managed to raise some money to help our friend but our resources are running out. As you can understand a few of people can only do so much. Here is where your contribution makes a huge difference. Every penny counts, every single one. We are trying to create supplemental financial assistance and other resources for Ludivia and her family who are uninsured and financially challenged, allowing them to focus on battling cancer without worrying about the indirect financial burdens that often arise. Financial support is tailored to Ludy and her family's needs. We are aiming to accomplish the following: Send Ludivia to the American Wellness Center Clinic in Atlanta, GA. as soon as possible. Insurance companies wont pay for alternative treatments. Therefore, we need to come up with the funds to send her ASAP. Assistance with mortgage, rent and utility bills Groceries, pharmaceuticals, childcare and travel costs.
