One in four people will experience a mental health challenge in their lifetime, so mental health is important for all of us.
We’re all impacted—whether we know someone who lives with mental health challenges, or we may face challenges of our own. By supporting this campaign, you'll help raise awareness and reduce stigma surrounding mental health. And by engaging in physical activity, you may improve your own wellbeing!
With this fundraiser, Sanctuary Mental Health Ministries aims to continue equipping the Church to support mental health and wellbeing. Our resources prepare communities of faith to offer much-needed support to those experiencing mental health challenges. Our flagship resource, The Sanctuary Course , has reached more than 160,000 participants from over sixty countries in just three and a half years. With your financial support, we can scale our technologies and resources to impact 1,000,000 people!
OUR GOAL To record 10,000 joyful minutes of movement, to raise $100,000, to enable us to reach 1,000,000 people by 2025 with resources for mental health and wellbeing. |
HOW TO PARTICIPATE Join or create a team by clicking the REGISTER button above. You can participate in any form of joyful movement you like. Log your daily minutes over the weekend and report them to your team captain. Captains will then post their team's minutes daily in the comments on this page. Invite your friends and family to join you or donate. |

HOW CAN I GET MOVING?
Here are some of the ways that participants moved last year: stretching, weight-lifting, gardening, yoga, boxing, rock climbing, dancing, canoeing, glow-in-the-dark mini golf, cycling, kayaking, walking around a UFO museum, long-boarding, stand-up paddle boarding, and walking the dog. We hope that these activities can provide some inspiration for you and your team.

2021 was Move for Mental Health's inaugural year. From June 12-18, 120 participants moved a total of 45,548 minutes and raised $50,733. We know that we can be even more successful this year with your help!

Sanctuary's resources prepare communities of faith to meaningfully engage the topics of mental health and faith. Our content is developed in collaboration with theologians, psychologists, and people with lived experience of mental health challenges. These resources prepare communities of faith around the world to raise awareness, reduce stigma, support mental health, and promote mental wellbeing.
Sanctuary is on a high-growth trajectory. We're launching a revised and improved version of The Sanctuary Course, as well as a new website and online resource portal. We want to reach more people than ever before with these new resources and technologies. By joining Move for Mental Health, you can help us in our mission.
