Hello all,

On 9/24 Will and I were at work. We work in the same building,  he complained of dizziness. I decided to leave and take him to the doctors. In our travels Will started confusion, memory loss, and still had dizziness. We make it to the hospital and they immediately treated him as if he had a stroke, CT scan, administered TPA, etc.

Will spent two days in ICU, had loss of memory, to which he could not remember my name or our kids. He was unable to walk, he had stuttering and confusion. When his MRI came back negative we were more less kicked out of the hospital and told to follow-up with our Primary Care. They stated when tests come back negative but there are physical symptoms they result to the dx. of conversion disorder.

We followed up with our primary care which referred us back to another neurologist as well as a pschychiatrist. We were then referrred to an audiologist which told us he had a vestibular nerve injury in his left ear.

We also went to the neuropschychiatrist which let us know that he didn't feel that the injury to the ear could cause all these symptoms. Crazy answer. He basically stated that with traumatic experiences can manifest into physical symptoms.

Today is 10/10/14 and Will is able to walk with a walker, he has some speech issues. We have been back and forth from doctor to doctor and PT. He has improved but there is no indication how long recovery will take and at this point we have really not gotten any firm diagnosis.

We are asking for any help possible. This monies will be used for gas, food, common household bills. We are now down to one household income until Will is well enough to return to work. We have been very blessed to know that when he does get well he will have a job to return to.

Thanks in advance to all the prayers. They all have been necessary.

Debra
