So I changed my fundrazr to something that is way more important to me than sending $52,000 to the Government and I hope people will really share it and get the word out. I am collecting for MS Awareness and Alzheimer's Awareness. For people who do not know what these are. Let me tell you about them : Multiple sclerosis (or MS) is a chronic, often disabling disease that attacks the central ner...vous system (CNS), which is made up of the brain, spinal cord, and optic nerves. Symptoms may be mild, such as numbness in the limbs, or severe, such as paralysis or loss of vision. The progress, severity, and specific symptoms of MS are unpredictable and vary from one person to another. Alzheimer's is a loss of brain function that occurs with certain diseases. Alzheimer's disease (AD), is one form of dementia that gradually gets worse over time. It affects memory, thinking, and behavior.

Now I know for a fact that these two diseases do not get the attention of everyone like the big C does. But more than 2.1 million people are affected by MS worldwide,Experts think there are currently 250,000 to 350,000 people in the United States diagnosed with MS.
With Alzheimers, One in eight older Americans has Alzheimer’s disease. alzheimer’s disease is the sixth-leading cause of death in the united states. over 15 million americans provide unpaid care for a person with alzheimer’s or other dementias.
payments for care are estimated to be $200 Billion in 2012.

Living with MS and having a parent with early onset Alzheimers changes you. It makes you realize that you shouldnt take life for granted. Your life isnt over when you have MS, you just have to do things differently, You may enjoy 85 degress weather, it may just take a lot out of you, you may not want to stay in bed, but your body tells you, you do! You just have to stay strong and carry on the best you can.

When you have alzheimers, thats a different story. You never know what the day is going to be like, will it be a good day? will it be a bad one? Will she take a pills today? or will you have to tell her why she has to take them? Will the day be filled with laughing and dancing, or hitting and crying?  People all over the world is going through this and its time we take a stand and say.. Let's find a cure!!!
I would like to Thank everyone who donated to my cause and ask if you dont mind. I would rather send your money to help find a cure than use it for my school.
