Kelly Wilson hasn't added a story.
I am attacking the issue of owned pets who create unwanted litters of pets who end up in either abusive homes, puppy/kitten mills or being surrendered in shelters because the owner can't afford vetting fees.
Vanier Street Cats helps all low/fixed income owners to keep their pets by offering first vetting and alteration or one time emergency services for free.
To date the Vanier Street Cats has helped over 35 owned and street pets.
All funds are sent direct to the vet where they are held in trust. I AM NOT A NON PROFIT, I am an animal advocate on a mission to prove a concept and hope to become a non profit when I have helped 100 pets to stay in their homes.
All funds transfer to the next pet in need and I receive no money personally.
Until recently I was soliciting donations direct to the vet however it has slowed the process and as a result 3 weeks ago a pet died on its way to receive vetting services because I couldn't raise the funds fast enough for her care.
Please donate any amount you feel you can afford. I can't provide tax receipts but I can offer you the knowledge that you have contributed to saving a poverty line pets life.
All pets can be seen on my personal facebook page and you can contact me at any time for an update or a vetting report.
I can't put the vet's bills up online but I can provide you the reports personally via email.
Thank you for responding to this need. There are 3 separate litters of kittens this fundraiser will benefit and one of those litters has kittens with older siblings only 3 months apart!
We must alter that mommy and make sure her kitten bearing years come to an end.
Vanier Street Cats will help any species of pet for an owner who is on a low/fixed income so that pet can stay with the ones they love.
Vanier Street Cats charges no money to owners in need and only accepts adoption fees that don't cover the cost of vetting to assure that if a pet needs a home that the new owner is responsible.
That owner goes home with a kitten and a promise to return for a free alteration. This is our mission. To alter as many owned pets in the Vanier area of the City of Ottawa and decrease the number of pets being left behind, given away for free or surrendered in a local kill shelter.
Thank you for reading my plea.
NOTE: The picture is Tiger with her first litter of kittens the 2 larger kittens, they are 4 months old. The smaller kittens are their new siblings who are now 3 weeks old. THIS IS AN EMERGENCY TIGER NEEDS TO STOP HAVING LITTERS. We have 4 unwanted kittens in this picture...is it you who can help them to find proper homes by paying their vetting fees? PLEASE let it be you that we are looking for!
