The Yedaya Library Project (YLP) is my concrete commitment to being the change I want to see in my country Ghana. It was inspired from the pain of having been a part of a failing system, and then subsequently seeing the talents and hopes of other energetic Ghanaian youth waste away over the years. We still have an opportunity to choose between letting these potential world changers go to waste by willingly turning a blind eye to helping them; OR, we can together join hands and be proud that we did our part in turning their destinies around for the better – by exposing them to knowledge that inspires, that builds, that changes.

The YLP is being carried out to serve one purpose only – to make knowledge resources available for those with the will and desire to succeed, succeed. It will be based in Accra Ghana, hopefully extending to other regions as and when resources become available.

Unlike traditional Libraries, this library is focused. It will be fitted with purely E-reading machines. At any one time, the library will hold 1,250 electronic volumes EACH on Leadership and Entrepreneurship and 500 electronic volumes on Biographies. It will have the capacity to sit 30-50 persons at once. It will be a library that you leave every time wanting to do something bigger than you did yesterday.

I am asking you to support a cause that will birth hundreds and thousands of individually motivated, daring and successful Ghanaians and Africans. YPL will offer free annual Library subscription to 100 secondary and tertiary students through a national essay competition. The rest of the facility will be maintained through paid subscriptions.

All monies received will go into the Library Building (£12,000), Furniture & E-Reading equipment (£8,000), Books & Volumes (£5,000). And progress photos will be posted here from time to time.

HELP ME BUILD THE CHANGE WE ALL WANT TO SEE.
