Last year, Mark Lewis, a good friend, was diagnosed with Angio Sarcoma, a rare type of cancer. He had surgery in September 2011, in which they removed his spleen, where the cancer was detected. Although they believed they removed it all, in late July 2012 he found out the cancer had returned and has spread. Unfortunately, chemotherapy and radiation are no longer effective. Mark has been told that there are no more treatment options left for him in Canada. In order for Mark to receive the treatment he needs , he has to travel to Mexico to undergo immunotherapy. As a husband and young father of two small boys, a Child and Youth Counsellor at Roy McMurty Youth Centre and Volunteer Firefighter in Fort Erie, Mark has been working in the helping profession for over a decade...and now he needs our help. On September 16th, I'm participating in the Run for Hope to assist Mark Lewis in his fight against cancer. Please consider sponsoring me to assist Mark in his fight and get the treatment he needs to save his life. Thank you!
