One Million Stars Texas is part of One Billion Stars, a global star weaving movement for violence free communities. We have reached our 1st milestone goal to weave 10,000 stars together and our star weaving community is now working towards weaving 20,000 stars together! Each star is a beautiful symbol of light, hope, courage and solidarity to end all forms of violence. Help us to continue to grow our star weaving community in Texas. Star Weaving brings people together

Building community connections and creating a safe sense of belonging is the heart of this global star weaving project. Weaving stars is a gentle way to start difficult and uncomfortable conversations by focusing on building safe and respectful relationships, one star at a time. Since launching One Million Stars Texas in November, 2020, we have grown a star weaving community of over 500 star weavers in Texas. We have partnered with Austin Public Health's Age-Friendly Austin program & COA Senior Activity Centers, Austin Public Library, Austin Creative Reuse, Ten Thousand Villages & Elisabet Ney Museum.

Our goal is to raise $1000 for One Million Stars Texas

You donation helps support star weaving events, programming and supplies and star installations.

$25 provides five star weaving kits

$50 provides supplies for one star weaving workshop

$100 provides translation of star weaving materials into languages other than English

$250 covers the cost of one star weaving event

$1000 provides for one community star installation.
