Supporting the Jewish Artists Initiative (JAI) means promoting new Jewish cultural expression, including allowing us to continue to innovate during COVID. Your donation ensures that JAI remains a vital arts resource for the Jewish community. Our artists and professional members have experienced this pandemic's effects, including canceled exhibitions, school closures, and income loss. We are not alone. During this pandemic, cultural organizations have ended in-person events to keep us safe; however, it has created unique challenges for the whole creative community.
As an organization, we have adapted to these times, creating a successful once a month virtual artist studio tour called JAI Cafe Series. Our cafe project has now reached over three hundred participants. We just launched our second virtual exhibit Beginnings with No Endings: Hope and Optimism , which showcases unique artworks by members created in response to the quarantine.
Your contribution is needed now more than ever to ensure Jewish art remains a part of the creative community. Donations will secure the continuation of the JAI Cafe Series, including video documentation of the cafes for later viewing, as well as new online exhibition development.
