Marley Watson hasn't added a story.
A lot of people have been asking when Terry's memorial service is. At this point, the family is still in major shock and also feeling a financial strain. We are hoping to fundraise some money so that we can give Terry the memorial service that he so deserves. The family would also like to donate some money towards Cancer Research.
In mid June 2014 is when my Father started expressing that he
was feeling a little under the weather and that he also felt like he
may have a frozen shoulder. For the next two weeks, our family
carefully monitored him. On June 30th, 2014 I received a phone call
from my Mom stating that my Father was feeling ill and he felt like he
was possibly having a stroke and that she felt it was best that I take
him to the emergency room. I arrived at my Mothers house and Terry was
sitting on the couch contemplating wheather he wanted to go to the
doctors or the actual emergency room. As a family, we decided to
immediately take him to the emergency room at St. Michaels Hospital. I
called a cab and me and Terry were on our way, my brother met us at
the hospital. They gave him a catscan and advised that there was no
sign of a stroke and that he should go home and follow-up with his
family doctor. Terry was not impressed. We took him home and continued
to monitor him but it was evident that he was getting worse. He began
to lose function on the right side of his body and was no longer able
to properly walk. My sister Anjelica then brought him to the doctors
in the hopes of getting some answers, the doctor said that his
symptoms were concerning and sent him off to St. Michaels emergency
yet again. The hospital was finally taking his symptoms seriously and
admitted him on July 14th, 2014.
Three days had gone by, with his family and friends right by his side and on my birthday July 17th, 2014 I went to the hospital and heard those fateful words...Terry has Brain Cancer. For the next three weeks, our family never left his side. And on August 7th, 2014 after only being diagnosed with cancer 3 weeks prior...Terry lost his battle.
We're all in complete disbelief, everyday is a struggle without him and we miss him dearly. It would be nice to have friends and family from near and far come together for one day of good food, drinks, laughter, tears, memories and hugs and we need your help to do this.
We love you, we miss you, and we will never forget you.
